Yeah add just makes it show up as a white square, I think I'll redo the mesh and start over and see if I can sort it out that way.

It might be your video card. I always got squares in Tetsonot even though back then my laptop was brand new and came with an ATI (HD2600) chip.

This is the only Age I've had this issue with, all the others have always shown them correctly.

Course resetting the mesh stopped Fahets from loading for some reason.

the odd thing is, initially the ripples were both black and grey, the small ones were grey and as they expand they get darker.

That is an interesting effect. Almost like a shadow. Do you have shadeless enabled and shadbuf disabled?

Could it be you are seeing the shadow cast by your ripples on the bottom of the pool?

Nope, it's definitely on the surface.

when the black ripples show up I have it set to Mix, if I used Multiply and Add it just shows the white squares.
I have shadows and stuff off.

If it's any consolation I think it looks OK.

It doesn't look to bad when you're standing still, but it looks really odd when you're running around.

I take it your texture is a completely white square, with the circle in the alpha channel?
In that case; what happens if you discard the alpha channel and makes the circle white on black, then use add?

No my texture is a transparent texture, transparent background, and the ripples are white.
