J'Kla, I agree that the D'ni during their history would have many different styles of Architecture, but, I'm not sure I agree that all of them would resemble the styling of our own history.
Their pre-historic/early history periods were on Gaternay, and thus, the requirements and materials for building would've been different, along with the different cultural elements that led the development of their artistic styling.
As for the period in the Cavern, on Earth/D'ni... Again, they would've had very different cultural development, and thus different artistic styling, as well as different influences on their artistic communities. Along with vastly different functional requirements on their architecture. These things, I feel would lead to different styles of architecture during their history, some (if not most) vastly different to our historical architecture.
That's not to say some ages would've had pre-existing structures similar to our history, and that's not to say in the great tree of possibilities, that we would not have almost exact duplicates of past human cultures, some with the same architecture as those here on earth in our history.
