Is it possible that it's missing the animation for climbing the wall? Long shot I know. I'm just throwing random thoughts out there.

the animations are there eventhough they are slightly different in UU and Moul. Using the UU or Moul ones does not change anything. (or maybe it does but since we cannot even get to the actual climbing part ... )

So it is possible but not currently, how bout the patch for ABM I wouldn't mind having a Uru CC and ABM installed if each one has something different to offer.

and again the more people who try it, the more might like, it and the more people you might be able to get working on in for CC.

if you don't mind having two installation then use UU rather than ABM:

we're sure this is working
you can find links for the UU patch in the various threads
you can find instructions on how to do it in those same threads

despite what it may looks like i am not working alone and have received help already.
But, yes maybe i'll post a set of instructions ( if i find the courage to sum everything up) on how to do things but the full analysis of the Garrison prp files may lead to overly long posts so be warned ! :D

I just hope its something I can figure out, although I do have some talent, what can be called programming and/or hacking is definitely not one of them

thank you

I can confirm that Agenotfound's posts tend to get *very* long even if you don't explicitly ask him to sum everything up... so if he actually does, better prepare for an hour or two of reading
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Perhaps a Enable the Gahreesen Wall for dummies would be more appropriate. Something any one from the Myst community would be able to understand? Cuz Im still just self taught with the PC and My best hacking success was 30-40 Quabs on Ahnonay

I think that with libplasma it might be possible to extract the neccesary objects, and insert them into a CC install.
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

Drizzle's distillation module might be a better way to get objects out and into a separate prp, for various reasons. It can automatically find all objects linked to another one, but allows control over forcing certain objects to be included or discluded. It will pull new mipmaps in from another prp. It will prune the plDrawableSpans to only include the parts that are needed, otherwise you would end up with duplicated objects being drawn. (This is a lot more complicated than it sounds.) And it's already used to do just this with many things, including all the Relto MOUL additions, the sparklies, the guildhall, the heek table, the Er'cana pots symbol, the vault-based Imager, etc. Agenotfound figured out which objects were needed, and sent them to me, and I added it to Drizzle this way.

That's the difficult part: figuring out what objects needs to be brought over/changed ;) That's of course what Agenotfound is trying to figure out: how to get it working at all.

I still think the problem lies in the CC client's inability to handle an OnClimbingBlockerEvent. To fix that you probably have to hack UruExplorer.exe. Unfortunately libPlasma or Drizzle cannot help with that.
