As I don't want to adorn myself with borrowed plumes I have to admit that Jojon "polished" the glassware I made before he released Relltoo with my additions. I started to experiment with static environment maps which is used here, but as other things came inbetween I'm still not experienced enough to write a tutorial. Maybe if we ask nicely Jojon would be poised to do that? ;)

Ahh, ok =)

It'd be absolutely wonderful if you could do that for us, Jojon, that glassware is the best I've seen in Uru!

Here's hoping!

Thanks, either way, though. =)

Just checking to see where this is at. There hasn't been an update in a couple weeks, now.

I don't know who had things last, or if they had already been passed on or what. I do know where the files are stored though and have access so if someone can tell me who was next I can pass on everything to the next person.

(Last time I offered to do this Jojon woke up, lets hope he does again.)

Awake I am - I have even been taking short peeks at the forum the past few weeks, without logging in though.

Apologies are in place - I might at least have shown a lifesign... it gets so awkward to reappear, after a time...
Stay put I.Brattin; it may yet come to the Rell-Too janitorial duties falling onto your offered shoulders, should I prove unable to improve...

I have cleaned out an overflowing mailbox and am in the middle of skimming several pages of posts since my last visit, despite the late hour, whilst resisting spamming y'awl with responses to them all. :P

So, where are we at, then? Not a whole lot has happened, I'm afraid, with me barely doing anything Uru-related until the last two days.

I had originally planned to start a book of commentary (apart from the visitor's log), for the age, but decided that's quite hopeless, since the age is in a constant state of flux.

Instead I'm adding a fall that makes the Ghareesen journey door jump not seem that deadly after all. :P
I have spent this entire weekend cutting-and-pasting, trialling-and-erroring the constricting scripting beast and probably making some sort of progress, even though I haven't got a clue as to what I'm doing. Hopfully I am at a point where I'll just need to figure out a non-clunky way to get my responder runners out of OnNotify() and into OnSDLNotify(), which I'm assuming might spare D'Lanor and his peers a collective ulcer, then we'll see if I can't get something released. If it drags out, I'll just have to cobble the rest together and leave my new combination lock dysfunctional for now.

There, that's my whingy story - I'll try to be more frequent now.

Core43 contributed a nice new linking book object, which will replace the closed one on the nexus pedestal, for the next update, so there will be SOMETHING in it at least - it's good when others compensate for one's own shortcomings. :)

Your's apologetically,
/Jojon

Re: Chain letter age - v0.16 out, at long last

Postby Jojon » Sun Mar 28, 2010 6:36 am

Right, I started slipping, right away, again, of course.
So now I'm collecting and releasing things as-is, I'll just have to make things pretty and polished "later" -- if I can muster the discipline, I may try to slip in the smoothening of a rough edge, or two, out of turn, to make up for the humungous delay.

Kept banging my head into the ceiling in the laboratory access tunnel, so I decided to add some extra headroom, but got distracted by a hollow sound, while chipping away. Turns out there's a shaft and chambers in the core of this tower, just like in the first one. I made a hole large enough to crawl through...

Download links in first post have been updated.

Next up is Keiya, then Corvus. (good to see that we have more productive people than myself onboard. :)

Thanks for updating the age. It's on the UAM now.
The word "vegetarian" has an Indian origin and can be translated as: "the one who is too dumb to hunt".

Das Wort "Vegetarier" hat einen indianischen Ursprung und bedeutet übersetzt "Der zu blöd zum Jagen ist".
