They said they were planning to throw up a shard to keep people occupied in the meanwhile. (One without new content.) But now for some reason, a bunch of people now think they're ready to release the source or start producing content again. That *could* be, but it just sounds like they're starting up their shard (think D'mala) again, as they said they would.

I think this is a very likely possibility. Only time will tell for sure.

Still, I eagerly await what will happen next :D

Why the guilds? If you don't like how it's going, fork it. It's up to the shard maintainer and user what server and client codebase is use, no one else.

History suggest one possible out come but its not necessarily the only possibility

So the question I have been wondering, Will history repeat itself as the pessimist would suspect, or will one of the other possibilities unfold as the optimist would hope for.

As a realist pessimist, I'd predict the two will balance and we'll end up somewhere in between so that neither is happy, yet neither is wholly disappointed.

what the, it's going on: http://forums.drcsite.org/viewtopic.php?t=2790

The most important part IMHO:
A few of the explorers say that they never left, but I suspect you have known that all along. Others said that they've only recently found their way back. In either case, they couldn't have been there for any length of time without setting off your sensors in the main areas they spend their time.

They were expecting us to be angry and try to kick them out. They were pleasantly surprised when I told them that we're all just explorers, at least for now. They seemed relieved and not too disappointed that we haven't secured any funding. They were also interested to hear how our lives have changed on the surface.

Have fun interpreting :D

Hmm, MO:ULagain .... I guess it's a first step.
Now how do we get our ages on there :D

Not open-source yet though.....

So, who has yet managed to get an account? I'm still waiting for the mail, and I'm told that others who got it get some script errors later on... the server has a huge load, obviously ;-)

The installer/patcher is downloading surprisingly fast though. I guess a lot of people are waiting for that email before downloading the game itself.

No Open Source! As I feared! :(

P.S.: The Cyan Servers are overloaded just by creating accounts! How fast will the server be crashing!? OMG!
