I stand corrected.

Well, still one major "I'm stuck" point, atm. The glass texture on the bottles themselves have me stuck. I desperately want to do something special for the whark-juice one, too. So, no progress at all, so far.

Have you consulted Corvus on that? I think he did the awesome glass objects in Relltoo.

And you can take a look at the .blend file! It's posted at the start of the Relltoo thread.

Hi all. =)

Note on this age.

Still somewhat stuck, its not entirely the glass that is the issue, but, also the texture for the liquids, for the first drink I wanted to do. I'm at a stage where I don't have much more inspiration for how to do it, and a bit of a lack of motivation, as for the "special thing" for the whark-juice? I wanted to do a model for the "bottle" based on the Whark-totem in Riven. =)

Another planned-but-have-no-idea-when feature, often request (I haven't forgotten, Ametist!) are tapestries. And.. While I want to do them, I don't like most of the existing textures for them (or more correctly, I don't think they really fit the age), and I'm personally not much of a texture artist. And, on top of that, I'm a perfectionist. I've thought about opening it up to the community and offering them community at large a chance to design one, but, I don't really think many would be interested, and I'm not sure if I'd even use any in the end. I don't know. So, my own perfectionism is getting to me, right now. Unless I have a massive breakthrough, this may be the "final" version of the age, for now. But, it might not, either. I hope I can eventually expand and improve on it further, but... I don't know when that'll be, if it'll be, and in what form it'll be. I'm stuck, and I'm stuck /hard/.

@Dustin: Aye, I have indeed checked out the blend file, and tried to replicate it a bit, I'm just not quite sure how it works to produce the content as seen in reltoo, exactly. I haven't even gotten this stuff in-game, as yet.

as far as bottles are concerned why not just use the existing bottles in the Pub on the Great stairs in D'ni. You may be able to change the shape of them enough to fit the labels, and since they seem to be ceramic the liquid is not even a factor. I think it might fit in nicely with the over all theme of the Pub office, All they need is a fancy cork

Well, if I did end up doing ceramic, I can just as easily use my own model, that I've already done. =) I had thought about ceramic (thanks to my fiance suggesting it, previously) before, but, I didn't want to go with it at the /time/... But, it might be the solution to the issues, I guess.

I'll think about it. =) If I do decide to go with it, it shouldn't take too long to do a new release. =) The bottles won't be as "awesome" as I originally planned. (yay for plans of glowing lake water in a bottle. =P ) But, it'll be something, at least. =)

Leave the cork off of the glowing lake water bottle and have the light shining out of it

I'll be releasing a (small) bugfix release soon, courtesy of Diafero. I've had the details (and code!) sitting around in my email for a while. Just.. haven't had the motivation to test in some time. Gave it a quite once over last night, just need to package it, and upload, but, again: Thanks 'fero!

I already wondered when you'd push that update :)
You're welcome, I'm always glad to help.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Update is officially pushed. no readme file yet, but, major thanks to diafero for fixing the python. Now, the visitor logger should no longer have the reset bug.
