Drizzle23!

Postby ddb174 » Sat Feb 13, 2010 9:45 pm

Okay, Drizzle23 has just been released, and here's what's new!

The official page with installation instructions, walkthroughs and screenshots for the Ages, and a more detailed description is here: http://alcugs.almlys.org/Drizzle

You can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/drizzle/files/Drizzle23b.jar/download

(For now, keep in mind that using Moulagain files instead of Moul files is untested, so use them at your own risk!)

New features:
-Splash screen so that you know Drizzle is starting.
-While doing work, it shows "Working..." to indicate that Drizzle is busy.
-While doing work, you can still use tabs and scrollbars, so you can read the log and look around.
-Kadish Gallery doors now work in the city! (Thanks to Agenotfound and Race!) (Requires the currently-unreleased next Offline-KI to work.)
-Can detect which version of an Age is installed.
-Can delete old archives to save disk space.
-Button for Pots modifications that don't require any other game.

Advanced stuff:
-A bunch of prps have been moved out of the Offline-KI and are now done automatically by Drizzle:
--InplaceMod for the two Cleft prps that removes the collider for the fence.
--InplaceMod for a fix for city RelevanceRegions(fix from a certain anonymous person)
--InplaceMod for a fix for city balcony marker(fix from a certain anonymous person)
--InplaceMod for a fix for city museum door(fix from a certain anonymous person)
--InplaceMod for replacing the city Teledahn book with the KirelMOUL one.
-Some improvements to Deepview2 (which is a tool something like PrpShop or PageEditor).
-Drizzle23.jar now relaunches itself if it does not have enough memory, which is useful for people using .bat files.

Bugfixes:
-Fixed bug with duplicated conversion messages.
-Fixed bug where after installing an Age, it was no longer selected.
-Removes the command that turns off the Gamma in MarshScene.fni
-Fixed the bug that crashed EderTsogal when linking with German or French as Uru's language. (Thanks D'lanor!)

The Drizzle team includes OldWolle with Age collection and mirroring, L.K. with walkthroughs and the German translation, myself with coding, Chacal with the French translation, and Wodan with the Dutch translation. Enjoy!

I have to lower the expectations, I did not even start with the new Offline KI yet, nor could I test the new files generated by Drizzle. I was busy with a major redesign in the Alcugs servers. So it'll still be a while till the Offline KI can benefit from this - sorry.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Drizzle 23 doesn't want to seem to run for me. I open it and it just hangs there. I can run 22 just fine but 23 no go.

Edit: Redownloaded and for whatever reason it worked this time.

For me it doesn't work too. I make a new download but that don't help.
It opens the new logo and then another window >>> Downloading UAM...<<<<. This window transparent and nothing is going on. I can't close the window with the red cross. In the TaskManager under processes it is called java.exe but it do nothing. I only can stop it in the Taskmanager.
Drizzle 22 was working fine for me.
I use WindowsXp Sp3.

I'm having the same problem as Perlenstern. Drizzle23 does run fine for me as long as I don't tell it to download the new age list on startup.

Confirmed: it is doing this for me too, if I have it set to download the age list on startup. I'll get right on it! In the meanwhile, a person could delete their ".drizzlesettings.canbedeleted.dat", which will reset all your settings. Or if you want to keep your settings, you can wait for the fix. Sorry about that!

When I start Drizzle23 the first time and change the language to german before changing pathes then I get errors when I want to change the pathes of my installations.
When I change the first path in the default language english then everything run fine. (tested on Win7 32bit 32bit-jre and Win7 64bit 64bit-jre).
The word "vegetarian" has an Indian origin and can be translated as: "the one who is too dumb to hunt".

Das Wort "Vegetarier" hat einen indianischen Ursprung und bedeutet übersetzt "Der zu blöd zum Jagen ist".

Okay, I've changed the link in the first post to Drizzle23b.jar. I've fixed those two bugs and another one that I noticed myself. Please try it out and let me know if that fixes your problems!
