WIKI (not really) down - something happened

Postby tachzusamm » Mon Mar 15, 2010 2:24 am

In the first place, I was tempted to mention "the WIKI seems to be down".
But it is not. What happens for me is:
- if I try to reach it via the main entry page (which leads to http://wiki.guildofwriters.com/ ) nothing gets displayed;
- opening the WIKI from the links in the headline (WIKI / FAQ / Search / ... which leads to http://www.guildofwriters.com/wiki/ ) works.

Maybe an Apache setting got screwed up?

http://wiki.guildofwriters.com has been dead for a very long time. I have no idea why the main page was never corrected.

I always enter this site through the forum (as I suspect most people do), and the link in the forum menu bar is correct.

The link from the main page of the site to the wiki is only dead some of the times. I have actually managed to get to the wiki from the mainpage more then once recently.

Of course I never even noticed there was a wiki link on the menu bar. Or I would never have gone through the main page of the site to get to the wiki.

I can also confirm that http://wiki.guildofwriters.com/ worked each time I tried it the last few months. It was done about half a year ago though, just like now.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

When the planets align properly and the interwebz are happy, http://wiki.guildofwriters.com points to the wiki.

Neither the wiki nor irc subdomains have worked for me in recent memory.

see: http://guildofwriters.com/chat/index.php

irc.guildofwriters.com is supposed to point to an IRC server. I just use the IP address because the subdomain doesn't work for me: 97.107.129.208
