That's a pretty good story Trylon.

That approach sounds quite coherent to me; I'm all for having our IC story stick as closely as possible to our OOC story.
With that in mind there's one thing that seems important to me: when it comes to the places we used to meet do we need to totally separate the IC story from the OOC history? If IC we met in the Cavern a lot (or other Ages), it also sounds likely that we communicated a lot on the Surface, and in particular that we used internet to talk, share our discoveries, store our knowledge etc...
I don't think all our OOC internet history should be converted to 'Cavern meetings' history. Internet also exists IC. All the forums we used (and still use) might be real IC; it's just that instead of sharing file formats and Blender tips we share Book Making and Writing tips.
It's a pet peeve of mine: If we want a realistic approach to IC, it is very likely that most explorers do not live full time in the Cavern (and even less in their Reltos). Even if you are into camping and treking, full-time life in the Cavern must be difficult to say the least. You need occasionnal trips to the Surface to replenish. (that's right, Ages can't produce
everything
) You might also want to check out families and friends. Not to mention that most people have jobs and responsabilities of all kinds on the Surface..
Internet access directly from the Cavern doesn't sound too realistic, but anyone who can write a Linking Book is potentially just two Links away from his/her Surface home and an Internet access.
(Unless someone has set up a 10 miles long network cable from the Surface through the Shaft and the Tunnels

which is possible after all.. And if we were really in the Cavern that's surely something someone who have attempted or at least contemplated. Actually, that might make for a fun IC story..).

That first option sounds good to me. We might as well keep the IC forum as OOC-free as possible.
