Modifiers & GUI Buttons

Postby Egon » Thu Apr 01, 2010 5:59 am

When I first started wroking wit PyPRP plugin, it didn't include modifiers (subsurf, mirror etc) in exported age.
Now it does, yeah :)

Unfortunetly, now I have exported age objects wich looks ok, but they have inncorect bounding box :(
It looks like bounding box is made only for original (not affected by modifiers) object.

Am I missing something, or do I have to save my blend file in temporary folder, apply every modyfier, and then export an age?

According this page there is no support for GUI button in PyPRP plugin now.
In the light of above sentence: would it be possible (and if so: when?) to add GUI buttons support in PyPRP ?
There are several branches in SVN which do have button support: Chloe's, Paradox' and the one by The.Modificator. However, as far as I know, nobody merged this into the main PyPRP yet.

So, anytime soon?

Probably not. We don't have a coordinator to take care of testing, documenting new features, list the breaking changes and write wizards to convert what is broken.

You can always grab Chloes contrib and report back here. That is, if you don't mind that it breaks a few things. If however you are in the middle of a large project (as I am at the moment) you probably don't want to risk any breaking changes to your age.

Such a bug was reported and fixed during the 1.6 beta. If you are using the final release, then the fix must have been insufficient. :(

Unfortunately I am way removed from PyPRP development these days, so don’t count on me to fix it.

I tested again, and it's working correctyl. It might be in correlation with the problem which I had concernig not putting "Actor" on, or one time bug which I will not be able to reproduce.
