I am the person that posted the first notice on Guild of Maintaniner’s forum. He did claim Cyan’s approval that is why I posted on GoM’s forum. I thought Cyan, as they have done before with other aspects of the game, let the creators make the first announcement.

We now have the Okay from Cyan to make the Shard public.
You can freely discuss it, except for the Myst Online Forums...
They don't really like it, since theyre still working on MOOS (Open Source).
But other than that: yay

I would post the original Pelishard announcement and its link but it was edited and then I was banned and now the announcement is deleted.

At this point it is your word against mine. I can not prove what I saw and you can not disprove it either now. So that being said this is all mute now.

I really DON'T accept that PeliShard players are being called idiots just because they want to play fan ages with friends on a server who is "ruled by a full-blown liar". I think noone can say that these people cannot have heard the stories about Dhelayan. So, if they play on the PeliShard they KNOW these facts and don't care about them or have other reasons for playing. Why call them idiots?

When someone comes into a legal game, looking for someone to fix thier illegal game and then declare thier game is Cyan-sanctioned - despite their being a clear annoucement from Chogon on this very point - is either lying, or has been lied to. If they still refuse to believe that, even though its there on the forums for everyone to read - then they are an idiot. Q.E.D.

BTW, Does it really make sense for Cyan to sanction a public shard and then prohibit anyone from talking about it thier own forums??

Except that running an Alcugs Shard is not illegal. Hosting Myst V content or copying a Cyan website is a different matter though.

Of course, he never thought that, after someone posted something about this in the MOUL forums, Cyan will say: "Of course they have our permission! They are the best. You want to play online? Join the PeliShard!" Do you REALLY think CYAN, as a company that wants to earn money, would confirm that they gave such permission and would not say something else?

Wait, stop - so you claim that he *got* some kind of okay from Cyan to make the Shard public, but as soon as someone does so and makes it public, they say it never happened? This might have been some distant kind of believable if he claimed that he got an okay to run the Shard hidden "under the radar" (a message which some other Shard admins - but not him - might indeed have explicitly got, and which their behaviour kind of implies). But according to him they said "public" which makes this one of the worst excuses I ever heard.
Or do you mean people just misread him, and he didn't really mean to say that they actually got any explicit okay directly from Cyan, but something more... indirect and informal? "We now have the Okay from Cyan" looks like a bad way to express that.

Btw, when did Dhelayan ever claim to work for Gamtap?

He *did* say to me though that he worked for Cyan as German community manager. And some other stuff. However, that's the only point you are right in: I don't want to discuss this again. Anyone wanting more information about Dhel's lies can easily PM me.
This is not to say I'm afraid to post such stuff in public - if the need arises, I will do so. But I hope it won't.

WTF!? You've never been banned.

And, of course we deleted the Annoucement after Cyan took back (or said they never gave us) the permission. I already described that Cyan is not able to say officially "Yes" to the PeliShard because running a shard is still a grey area. Chogon's permission said something like they like what we do and they don't have any problems with the shard and give us the permission AS LONG AS NOONE IS POSTING this in the MOUL forums. But there was someone who thought he has to do so and... of course, this was the ending of the permission.
Again, Cyan may not talk about the permission in public (MOUL forums).

And i still don't see any sense in offending the PeliShard PLAYERs. It's enough to complain about the admin.

I never posted the notice on MO:UL forum as requested.

I have not diss'd Pelishard or its members.

I have not been able to get on Pelishard forum since then so a PM, to find out what happened, was not an option. I emailed a couple of times with no reply so I took it for granted I was banned.

I was similarly banned from the forums and the shard. As for Gametap employment: Dhelayan did say he was an employee both to myself and Jamey in a Skype chat. He is trying to weasel out of his lies by denying them.

On a similar topic, why hasn't Mystler been banned as well as Dhelayan?

Dhelayan was guilty by association in regards a violation of a Cyan NDA. We do not tolerate NDA violation.

I have no dirt on Mystler, however. I would love to ban all of these Pelishard dirtbags, but unfortunately I cannot justify it.
