You do know that the bahro around the arch must be enabled ("/set bahro 1") for the random bahro to appear?
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

uh... Black Snake... use /set. trust me. it works *much* better, and is less prone to breakage. =) (especially with coming SDL updates in the offlineKI)

What he said. The variables in the SDL file are the DEFAULTS (as clearly stated there). Defaults get set when the age is created (when you first link to it). Once the SDL variables are set in the age state the defaults are ignored. If you really insist on that SDL file hack you need to delete your sav file first.

Or append a new STATEDESC version.
But yeah, what he said.

I do append a new STATEDESC version, but when an update occurs all mods revert to the previous version. I have also deleted the saved age and then used the command /setsdl, but that has no lasting effect from one visit to the next...

but /setsdl, has shone that the nb01LanternsVis[1], nb01LampOption01Vis[1] and nb01FireMarbles2Vis are no longer available sdl varibles...

The CC version of the hood is a "light version" where most of the option were scrapped those SDL works in the ABM hood (those who where implemented back then that is), the To Dn'i hood, the UU hood and the MOUL Hood.

Every update, your handedited .sdl changes will be reset, yes. /setsdl will remain from visit to visit. I can assure you of that. I'm using it to test some stuff that'll be going into the offline KI soon. =)

To make things worse, most of the city variables you mentioned (actually all of them, except for islmS1FinaleBahro) are trigger variables. That means that the animation will be run once when the sdl is set to 1, and when the animation is finished, it will be set back to 0.
To re-trigger these animations, either use /setsdl, or /bahro which is more convenient (less to type) and will to exactly the same.
Btw, there's a full list of all you can do with the Offline KI at http://alcugs.almlys.org/Offline-KI/Features

@kaelis: No spoilers ;-)
