Hi everyone, I'm Chris, my name is in cavern as well. (Chris Sifniotis)
I joined the forums mainly to get tremendous help in making ages with Blender. Other than that, I'm very creative. I create fractal art as a hobby, and have recently been using KI shots in my most recent pictures as backgrounds. I also listen to a lot of music, particularly electronica, big Jean Michel Jarre fan. I'm convinced that Jarre is an explorer and gets inspiration from the D'niverse.
Below is a fraction of my Fractal Uru gallery;

I love the Mandelbrot pictures :)
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Thanks, I use the Mandelbrot as a form of symbolism. All my Ae'gura/K'veer/GZ pictures use the Mandelbrot, trying to make the city as the root of D'ni culture, which it is. The rest are good symbols of the ages. People especially love the Kadish picture for that reason, as do I. :D I also love the Tetsonot picture.

Hello, I am known as Sotuknang in the Cavern.

I know very little about programming, though I would love to learn. I do a lot of writing, and have written many Age descriptions and have many more ideas.

I am a newbie with Uru Online, and it has been less than a year since I started Uru itself, in the offline version. I am not new to Myst, having been a Myst enthusiast since I was in first grade (nearly 2 decades ago).

Currently I am working on trying to get these fan ages to work on my laptop, but errors keep preventing me. My goal is to be there in a week.

o yeah introducing might also be a nice idea...

I'm Luna/Lunanne/Luna(nne). I'm messenger but I have also been playing around with Blender for a while and I am working on a small (and slow) age project. Since I have more free time I decided to join you guys here to learn about programming and such. I'm planning on taking a Ahra pahts' shell to experiment with what is possible and to learn myself stuff. I generally find it easier to learn stuff when I want to do something with it.

Hello everyone! Name in RL is Averil, but here and in the game it's Shanti. I'm a jack-of-all-trades and master of none, variously being a musician (some of you may have heard my music published under my artist names of Tincolindo or Elfdaughter), a writer and poet, and I also do a lot of 3d work, though I tend to work with Poser more than anything now. I also use Photoshop a lot, and love texturing, especially texturing material. I used to be a part of the Starry Expanse project until RL dragged me away, but I've just been invited back, so hopefully I'll be getting involved there with character creation and/or texturing again.

I have also just downloaded blender - as soon as I start getting to grips with that program (looks quite a steep learning curve!) I'll start posting my creations. (anyone know of any good tutorials out there?)

For those of you not sure what the Starry Expanse project is, it's basically a fan-run project to try and recreate Riven to be explored online - it's a HUGE project, but we're getting there! I was involved in helping get the prototypes for Atrus and Catherine sorted, and even drafted a few ages from my imagination for them http://www.starryexpanse.com/ - that's the link, and if you scroll down to the bottom on the Team Roster, you'll see me under past members.

If you're interested in the sort of art I do, my deviantart page is here: www.elfdaughter.deviantart.com
And, whilst I haven't scored any music for a while, my music page is here: http://macjams.com/artist/elfdaughter

As for uru - well, I'm kinda new to it. I've got my KI, but don't know my number yet - I'll stick it in my sig as soon as I do.
Shanti

Your pictures in Deviantart are quite well done, Averil/Shanti/Elfdaughter. With your artistic talent, I'm sure you can find a great outlet in age building of some sort.

I guess this is as good a place to start as any. I'm Cado (KI #09367827 in MO:ULa).

It's funny that I've found myself here in the GOW forum; I don't count myself as much of a writer (yet), and although I have a (stale) computer science degree, I haven't really done much with programming since about the turn of the century. But I've had a strong emotional attachment to the D'ni-verse since the beginning days of MYST. Although my involvement has been little outside of the actual Myst I through V games and the GameTap iteration of MO:UL, I am passionately drawn to the URU world, and I want more than anything to be an integral part of keeping it alive and growing.

On the surface, I've managed to salvage enough of my education to become a decent system/network admin, and have also developed a passion for all things Open Source (so it was rather exciting to me when the announcement came out that Cyan would release MO:UL to the OS community) -- but as for creativity and coding, I have as of yet taken only a few hesitant steps. Things have changed a lot since I last coded in earnest; I have started trying to teach myself Java and Python (far cry from my days of completely procedural C programming), and as for creative writing I haven't even begun trying to write down all of the thoughts and ideas that are circling like a hurricane in my head. I know that starting one or many journals is definitely in order, and fortunately in this day and age I have all of the latest blogging tools at my disposal to help with the task, but even so it still seems a little daunting. Nonetheless, I feel compelled to put pen and ink to paper (in whatever form that may be) and write.

I'm not sure what direction to take at this point, but I'm here. I'm eager to learn, and I'm driven to be a part of D'ni's growing story and landscape. Whatever the case, I'll do my best.

Thanks,
Cado
