OK I have finally located working copies of Python-2.2.3.exe and http://www.oldapps.com/Python.php?old_p ... 6#Download]Python-2.3.5.exe[/url] on http://www.oldapps.com

I will star looking into the Python...

Just little hint: old Python version are avaible on python.org.

Re: link book panel, open PrpShop and check that the texture file from my 'Mipmap' folder is listed in Mipmap under 'Textures'. If not you'll need to re-import, save and try again. This worked for me a couple of times. As for the multiple folders Chacal you're right it would be easier as you suggest - what we ended up with was just what I generated while puzzling it all out. I'll re-test and re-jig as necessary later today

The Link Book and Link Panel are in the Spyroom and there is a Hot Spot - But nothing happens when you click the Hot Spot.

Suprisingly I got though instructions and didn't get URU to crash ;)
I was suprised becouse we way You described adding objects to Scene Node suggested that I'm using difrent PrpShop.

Generally: great work.

But yes, I'm also unable to use linking book of the meeting room.
Quick glips to log files give me this:

(11/16 18:01:15) ImportError: No module named NewSingleJournals
(11/16 18:01:15) Python file spyroomBookGUI.py, instance not found.

After decompiling spyroom.pak I see that You have in spyroomPageDefs.py:

from NewSingleJournals import *

but You didn't added NewSingleJournals to spyroom.pak

P.S.
I gues in the future, maybe those books in meeting room would become working linking books :)

Drat! That's what comes of recycling old files  Of course I do have NewSingleJournals in my install, so no problem for me, big problem for you. Should have tested this on a virgin install. Oh well, live and learn..

I've posted a revised zip in the recipe post. I've amended the ptyhon files and made a new pak, also included the uncompiled python files just in case.. Also removed all those folders  And I've edited the post to take account of the revisions.

P.S.
I gues in the future, maybe those books in meeting room would become working linking books :)

Yes I already started working on this, problem is where to link to without spoiling any puzzles. Any ideas?

Thanks to all who looked at this - hope it nearly works now

Ok I've tested this with a brand new clean install straight off the disc and downloaded the revised zip - SpyroomMod_rev02.zip. I used the unpacked files as per recipe including the revised pak file and it all worked for me
In Prpshop, you can select multiple objects for import, so putting them all in the same folder is a lot less work for the poor user

Hee hee you were sure right about that Chacal - it makes the whole operation very fast. It simply never occoured to me that you could 'select multiple objects for import' doh!

After restoring the Olde Files from my backup I re-did the modifications from the new ZIP (SpyroomMod_rev02.zip).

Everything works fine. You have done an excellent job. I know we will see even greater examples of your abilities, later...

Since the room pictured in the Linking Panels are the Baron's office in Teledahn I see no real problem.
To get the SpyRoom from the Secret Panel in The Teledahn Prison the puzzles in Teledarn need to be already solved.
But I do agree that 3 examples of the same Linking Panel are a bit much..

How about including the Baron's City Office in Ae'gura and the Secret Room in the Neighborhood???

Edit1: you might even use the SpyRoom as an example to enlarge and add a bit more to the Secret Room.
In my minds eye I can see a room like the SpyRoom, but with no telescope, and the viewscreen (window) where the crack now resides...

EDIT2:

The Neighborhood Secret Room as it currently exists in my offline Game. to get to it just use /spawn 4 times from your link in point...

Ooo! I've never been there  Think you might have yourself a deal ;) Presumably you need OfflineKi to use /spawn? (I don't use OfflineKi as a rule)

yes as it now stands you do need the offlineKI.
But if there were a linking Panel set up -- then no longer would it be necessary.
For the longest time I have been trying to figure a valid excuse for having that room in existence. I had just not thought of using the Baron's phobia. Now the Spyroom and the Meeting room do give a valid reason...
