Yep He's the current Mayor of London Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson someone I allways think of as "Boring Boris" and therefore a nemonic for Boron.

That is: do you just conceptually connect the element with the associative mnemonic, without any overarching framework, or is there any further method to it, such as (and this is what I'm really after) your constructing a memory house, much like the age? :7

That song "The Elements" was the original reason for Tom as a book cover subject.

As for memory jogges they are totally abstract some are phonetic like 91 some are puzzle puns as in carpe diem 55 and Praeseodymium 59 the link is almost abstract in that it uses the elemental link as a cosituent of fire strikers and the image is a Roman Fire striking Iron that resembles a letter P. I suppose the answer is yes I am constructing a memory house for my own use if someone else benifits from it as either entertainment or pure knowledge then is there any harm done.
