Ah. That, well, I don't think anyone here other than a Cyanist has edited any of the URU executables correctly. But, diafero might be able to help!

:lol: Nathan, I am writing this in every thread about Uru installation issues for the last several months :lol:

can you just tell me what to mod in the exe so I don't have to move files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubi Soft\Cyan Worlds\Myst Uru Complete Chronicles

The exe file is not the problem, it always uses the correct (current) folder for its files. The problem is Windows (Vista and above): The "Program Files" folder gets some special treatment so that you can run applications like Drizzle without administrator privileges. I should say, "you seem to be able to run" - the files that Drizzle stores there are not actually put where they should, but into some virtualized folder. The effect is that Uru can not see the modifications, or I can see parts of them but the misses the important part, and it crashes or does other weird things.
So, to work around this, you need full write access to the folder with Uru in it, as normal user. The best, recommended and easiest way to do that is to move Uru somewhere into C:\Users\<your name>. An alternative is to edit the settings of the "Myst Uru Complete Chronicles" folder to allow write access for everyone, but not having Windows 7 at hand I can not tell you the precise steps.
May I ask why you do not want to move the Uru installation?

@ Matthew Geiger : Navigate to your Uru folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubi Soft\Cyan Worlds\Myst Uru Complete Chronicles) Right click that folder, go to properties, then the Security tab. Click on 'Edit', select the 'Users' group, and allow 'Full control' for that group.

I glad you got it to work I had to use a vm to get it to work and move it to my main OS but now it works I had to put in this for it to work "C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft" >.> only my mess of a computer.

Well, it should usually not be necessary to move this through a VM, but well - glad to see you got it working :) . Please be sure that you have "Full access" to the folder that contains Uru, weird things might happen otherwise (and they can have permanent side-effects on the server).
