Bug Report: Gira Baskets and Bugs (Fireflies, too!)

It is recommended that you do not swallow the fireflies during the link back to Gira; the health effects of eating Kemo fireflies have not yet been thoroughly studied. Extensive experimentation has shown that they will follow you through the link while airborne. There is no need to take them internally.

Now you tell me..Somebody turned the lantern on when I was 'getting rid of the fireflies' and it was not pretty:(

you are telling: we used to avoid the fireflies puzzle...but Cyan decided to stop us by hacking it to avoid cheating.

I think it makes sense that Cyan made some changes because without the fireflies, well..., you shouldn't be able to open up the lights.

There's 4 lights to be lit in Gira:

2 in the lower cave: these two are not hidden in the pitch black. You can see them very clearly in daylight. In the nightime, it's like in real life, you see them but not as clearly. No need to have fireflies for those.

1 in the middle cave: it's pitch dark there!

1 in the upper cave: it's very sombre there. Even in daylight you can't just locate it right away. The only fault Cyan made is the entrance, too large or the cave size, too small. The light should have been really not visible.

I just tried solving Gira again and reset it 3 times. Each time I lost the first basket when linking back with the first fire bugs. Also the bugs are gone and I glow. I am able to run, swim and jump as often as I like and still glow. The two lower lamps work but not the hidden ones above, I glow so who needs them . The door to the upper cave with the two baskets will not work. The cloth in the upper cave can not be clicked on. Gira is BORKED!

Gira worked flawlessly for me this time. If so many things go wrong it is probably your client connection to the shard that was borked.

I had all of the issues this morning so I must have the same update. I at first only reset Gira then on the second and third reset reset both. I also tried restarting the game, quitting and restarting. I am on a cable connection not an old modem type connection so I don't see why my connection between my client and the server would be a problem.

I also had all the issues - baskets disappearing, fireflies making me glow, inability to switch on the lamps or touch the final journey cloth. I wiped one book but no joy. But then, having read everyone's posts, I wiped both books and tried again, and it all worked fine this time - I didn't even need the second set of baskets because I sneaked round the edge of the cave, as others have done. So my advice is don't give up!

Deleted both books. Crossed the first basket no problem.
Returned with the second posse of fireflies and one of the two baskets positioned at the cave had disappeared.

I had the same circumstance as TorEd.
But I lost both of the second set of baskets.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to have dropped two bridges from hidden switches in the dark spaces?
Playing basket soccer for an hour isn't very amusing and highly suspect to errant physic behavior.
But I digress.
