It is good to keep this rolling as new content or just new stuff is what keeps the explorers inspired and interested
and I see that many great proposals have come up like yours, Wam, with the suggestion of the SpyRoom and the
Neighborhood Secret Room which would be awesome as well as opening the puzzle room in the Watcher's Pub
mentioned by Karkadann ... It is so great to walk through there and enter the Great Tree again ... Have been there
recently on the TOC Shard for the first time with other people, that was lots of fun ... Yeah, let's keep the ball rolling ...:P


Edit: Something else just came to mind resp. my heart, I just asked myself how much you, the H'Uru team, are behind the
'new content' idea, I mean, I'm asking myself if that 'rolling content energy ball' right now here and even on the MOUL forums
might be putting too much pressure on you with the given limitations in processing this all as mentioned above ... :)

Of course, once we get the age converted, we then have to think about where to put a link in game.


A few Idea's come to mine

Phil's Relto Library, no one really knows what other linking books he had in his collection
Myst Library as if some of the books had been restored.
If I could get a template of the top floor of the library in Dni with some help with textures and lighting I could make a nice library and it could be added as a .prp flle

Assuming any of these ideas are Canon Kosher, it would leave planty of room for future ages

I've always liked the latter idea of re-purposing the upper floor of the library, then I visited it in fly mode :( The mesh is totally unworkable up there. It looks almost like the entire library would have to be remodeled to make it work. The other suggestions seem kind of out of the way to me. I've always been thinking that we could use the pedestals in the Museum and in the Neighborhood though. We shall see, I guess.

I'd love to see those pedestals used. Available books could rotate through them once we have too many, at least until something more expansive exists.

About the top floor: I'm not so sure. I wonder if it's meant to be just a balcony walkway around the outside of the sphere (with possibly an entrance into it?). There's certainly not room up there for anything else, but I think there is enough for that. Whatever it was, it seems like it would have been important. It may also be that we're being hit by that 80% scale problem again that plagues the whole island.

One thing that's nagged at my mind is just how deep that Library shaft possibly goes... ;)

Anyway, we have no shortage of places to stash books for people to discover. (If only I could get through some of these snags converting the Ages!)


Edit: I've gotten it working (thanks Hoikas!). Unfortunately there are some tweaks which need to be made, preferably by the artist.

There is only one obvious choice for a location for our linking books and that is the Guild Hall. This edifice towers over AE'gura and was meant to be a repository, library and educational institute from the beginning.

To reach the Guild Hall, Elevators like those in Gahreesen could be crafted and placed in the Palace Passage.

The creation of this elevator would have the possible additional benefit of opening two doors in D'ni Rezeeto (the Great Zero). Thus there would be two possible entrances and exits to the Guild Hall. Furthermore this proposed elevator could also furnish and act as an entrance to the Museum Basement.

The only reason that I can find or think of, for Cyan, not to open the Guild Hall, was that they wanted some place to kill Phill, and an explosion and collapse of walls filled the bill...

I'd love to have an accessible Guild Hall too. :D

It's a shame Lehm's Guild Hall was never released; it was amazing! The extremely early model Cyan had at one point isn't nearly as neat (nor properly-sized).

Since Cyan will not let us modify the existing City Textures, the exterior would need to remain the same.
I do not believe that there would be an objection to elevators though, especially if their textures were used.
Since the interior of the Guild Hall would need to be a separate Age and would need to be written in full.
I believe a good candidate for the interior's replacement, would be the Writers' Niche by Jamey.
This would enable a HUGE amount of Journal and Linking Book placement locations...

I always wanted to add visible objects to Chacal's city extension. I worked on the library for some time, but got bored. I'm not really good at Blender. Still, that's how I would see the interior.

Yeah, really basic. I wanted to put balconies where you can see openings, two stairs that would go through the middle sphere (in which you could find a few books), and below the sphere an opening to allow you to see the lower level of the library.

I also planned to add a courtyard above the guildhall (think the main tokotah courtyard, but with a view on the city), two staircases (or elevator) at the end of the concert hall corridor, an elevator at the end of the guild hall and in the museum... and a few other things. But then again I'm not really a modeller, and having good materials, lighting, and managing to get it all in CC was too annoying (getting it on MOUL would be worse).

In short, I think focusing on Fan-Ages would be a better idea for now.

If someone where to figure out the Upper Floor for the library, does any one know if the doors can be opened, cuz it would be the perfect place for a Fan age Library

This requires editing the library object since the doors are not single objects (unlike the two palace doors). The best solution would be to remove the door material from the prp, this way Uru will not display the faces using it. Not the best solution but by far the easiest.
