I started to remove some redundancies from my board games, Chess was the first one I published in the UAM and after going back threw it, I realized their are several redundancies that can be removed
Over all I need to add sound to the game pieces, I had planned on installing some old style lamps in the caves I just never got around to it. After fiddling around with TheLostStonehenge and shadows I may have learned
enough to produce some interesting lamps for the board games.

Im not sure I wanna add shadows to the chess board Im thinking maybe the sun is behind the clouds. The Chess men loaded up as simples and may need a Plazma run time light for shadows and that may produce to much lag to be worth it.
Not knowing how to play Backgammon (someone Backgammon over Checkers) Im not sure how to make it better as far as game play go's, although the gears on the dice cage still need to be chamfered (break all sharp corners)
Checkers hmm all I can really think of is the sound

Yahtzee was suggested but im not familiar enough with the KI or the inventory to make score sheet. if any one has any ideas...........
I do have a Mancala board game going that still needs a few final touches

If any one has any ideas on how I can improve any of the board games or come up with a new one im all ears.

hehe you should make a Myst version of Monopoly!!

Properties: Use Cyan ages, group them according to the game they were released in.. (following based on american version of the game)
ie> Meditteranean and Baltic become Stoneship and Mechanical
Oriental, Vermont, Conneticuit become Channelwood, Selenetic, and Rime
Virginia, States, St. Charles become Edanna, Voltaic, Amateria
NewYork, Tennessee, St. James become J'nanin, Narayan, Tomahna
Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois become Spire, Haven, Serenia
Atlantic, Ventnor, Marvin become Teledahn, Er'Cana, Gahreesen
Pacific, N.Carolina, Pennsylvania become Laki'ahnn, Todelmer, Tahgira
Park Place and Boardwalk become Noloben and Myst

The Go square would be Kadish Tolesa of course... Just because of all the piles of MONEY from which players can draw funds haha
(or you could start in Myst and Kadish can be the Boardwalk place too haha)

Railroads: Could become the four pod ages, or the four Eder ages

Jail: a prison book, or Riven, or K'Veer, or Minkata

Chance: ? marks would be replaced with Yeesha symbols

Community Chest: DRC crates.

Utilities: could be pretty much the same, they could become Ahnonay Waterworks and E.Gira Geothermal Power Company, or some other variant of the original Waterworks and Electric Company, depending on where other ages are used on the board (ie you wouldn't want to have an Eder Gira railroad as well as an Eder Gira Power Company).

Other special squares: Free Parking could be replaced with Direbo, and Luxury and Income Taxes replaced with Red Page Tax and Blue Page Tax, or Guild Tax and Bahro Tax, or Lake Water Tax and Tokotah Tax, or whatever. lol.

Game Pieces: Replaced by approximate Myst-y equivalents, ie scottie dog with Squee, car with Zandi's camper, silver hat with Grey Hat (i know, i'm so punny), etc.

There! now you can just spend the next two decades making it work hah ;) This one is a bit ambitious i freely admit.

as I recall I thought I bit off more then I can chew early in to the Revelation age, with some help from others here at the GoW that did an excellent Job I believe we in the Myst community became the first to actually walk thew a version of M.C. Escher's Relativity and is an on going development.

D'ni Monopoly sounds like a wonderful idea, However Im going to need help. Brain storming on the details would be a good start we have the basics, a money and banking system to be figured out and a the graphics for a board that does not infringe on the copyright needs to be done by some one

I have a top hat and the ship from the walking maze and a few other odds and ends we could rig GUI popups for the cards

if your serious and we can get others involved it sounds like a challenge.

also somebody mentioned CLUE some time back

Been trying to add sounds to the game pieces and got most of it figured out however I can not figure out how to get the sound to stop when the game piece stops moving. I know im missing something and I cant find a tutorial on adding sound to kickables or simples as thier known in Max? I know its possible from the cones in the Bevin if I had the Max file I may be able to reverse engineer it but Im stuck pushing buttons and trying different strategies none of which have worked so far

also I cant seem to get the water working on a vertical plane
