Here is the progress of this weekend.

I modelled a bridge so now you can walk to the other side.
It looks very nice when walking over it.
That finished the south side of the temple, now its time to start this room behind it.
It will be a part with a closed roof and dark inside.
I have in mind to lighten it with some (animated) fire's. I hope its not to difficult , but i give it a try.

The following screenshot from Blender , shows the dimensions of the new area I start to build.
Inside the area I will model new objects, which then immediately equal the correct size.
Finally the walls will be demolished 1 by 1 and replaced by new walls composed out of separately builded elements with details
brought in harmony with the rest of the age.

Lots to do on my list.

Just a suggestion dendwaler...

Maybe you should rename the thread title from: "A little age in developement" to "A pretty huge age in development" ;)

Each time you post something (which is nice of you) it keeps growing and growing and...

This is really getting beautiful. The textures are really fitting well with the models.
However, I know it's still a work-in-progress, but I think it would be nice with pre-rendered shadows cast on the floor (to have the same feeling as in this picture). It would break the repetitiveness of the floor texture.

I just wish you could use light beams on Plasma, as you see in modern rendering engines...

Anyways, keep posting such awesome pictures !

Thanks Sirius.

I have to bake the shadows, and i will do that, but since the modelling is not ready the shadow cast will change and change.
I will make more plants and will put them in the vases.
The floor texture will probably also change, because i am not confident with it.

So shadow casting will be done at the end of the project, but i certainly will try to do that..

Here is a very first impression of what is going to happen inside the temple.
The structure is going to be carried by snakes and guards.

The snakes are not textured yet, this is just a temporaly dummy in ORCO
I only adjusted the lightning to get a proper impression.

So except the guards, all texturing will be improved.

Looking great so far and with denDwaler building it, I have no doubt the finished product will be super. I'm so looking forward to exploring it. Thanks denDwaler!

O-Boy a room devoted to the Snake

Amongst the Mesoamerican and South American Indians, the Sioux, Cherokee and Seneca, the serpent was related to the spirits of the wind, of Venus, of the dawn, of merchants and of arts, crafts and knowledge. He was also the patron of the priesthood, of learning and knowledge. The feathered serpent was known as Ketzalkoatl (Aztec), Quetzalcoatl (Mayan), Urcaguary (Incan)
