Latest Experiments

Postby Karkadann » Mon Jan 28, 2013 1:01 pm

Matthornb and myself are having a few Compatibility issues between Blender and Max, so while I wait for the next Sevkor mesh file I decided to do some experimenting with my Stonehenge Cavern.
This one includes some more elaborate mashes, some of them you may recognize :D
Environmental maps, reflective objects and some glass.
More sound and and a bit of work on the Light Region.
Animations, not sure how it will work with a multi player environment but it works good in a single player environment.
Prp files, I dicided to put the cavern in a prp. file to shorten the export time.
More sprites and lights, and a few other odds and ends

Check it out, tell me how im doing. Its 17.28 mb's so its a bit larger

Absolutely fantabulous and astounding, Karkadann ... what a progress and development ... :P

It is nice to see this all now 'in person' ... and there is even a Cr----- Sk---!!!, something
special and precious for you Wam, and for me too ... The cave music is beautiful and
fits perfectly as perfect as the 'outer/upper' age music does ... Great job, Karkadann ... :)

Yes - very precious to me and the Native Americans.

The door and the related sound is so cool ... It might also work in a multiplayer environment as it opens
and closes automatically ... I remember, back then, when we tested Itep's and Jonnee's ages, they had
some doors being opened by solving a riddle or by activating a knob, and when some people went through
and others joined the age and went through that door afterwards, then that door was closed for the ones
that went through first ... That was funny ... So, they, Itep and Jonnee, had to add a button on the inside
to be able to open the door again ...

Would you like me to install this version on Deep Island? And/or put it in UAM?
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

It still needs a bit of work, but if you think its good enough, that would be great. Thank you

I am not having any QA ;-) . Essentially, I'll install anything (with obvious restrictions e.g. by the law) as soon as the author considers it good enough for online testing.
I'll upload it, that may take some time. I will not do a UAM release though - tell me if/when you want that to happen :D
