Guild of Writers stamp/seal design for [fan ages]

General debates and discussion about the Guild of Writers and Age creation

I like Calum's design. I like how it incorporates the pen, the beetle, and the book, indicating a Writer's tools and skills, but not necessarily the Guild of Writers itself. But also agree that it is too busy. Here's a concept that I threw together, someone else can run with it if desired, again incorporating the beetle, book, and pen.

Obviously needs a bit more sprucing up. but you get the idea.

In (slight) defense of the seal I did, I've always thought it would look a bit better shrunken down, like so:

But that was always just me. And as far as 'busy' goes, it's not really quite as busy as Yeesha's mandala/seal thing, which you can't really tell what anything in it is at any scale. :/

Still, I could work on lightening up the details a bit if that's what people want. Or if you want to try doing it yourselves, this was the original image I had before 'stamp-ifying' it.

Sorry to double post, but I couldn't find the edit button on the last one I did.

So I took the advice given, and simplified it a bit- I have two versions here: a "Normal" version, and an "Uneven" version.

Neat ... thanks, Calu, I absolutely prefer this 'normal' resp. 'clean' version over the other ones, but that might be just me ... :P

I prefer the rough/uneven version myself.

I...Guess the moral of this story is that you can't please everyone? ._.;

I'll look into making a hybrid version next, I guess!

Again, sorry for the double post (Where does the edit button go anyways? Oh well.) But I made a new version with bits of the old and bits of the new all patched in, mostly for my own amusement, but I think it looks good.

Not enough Hello Kitty. Inf act, I think Calum's stamp needs Hello Kitty in the middle for mascot purposes.
