Sounds reasonable - I guess they may be suitable only for a flat surface and that the undulating normals of a waveset would need to be along from the get-go and taken into account by the DynamicCamMap...ehmm..."generator"?, to get proper projection, if one want realistic-ish distortion on the reflection.

Since we're talking water anyway, I'll just sneak in one follow-up question, before shutting up and letting the train back on the track (apologies, Sirius): What about other water tricks? Can we-/will we be able to- animate and mix bumb-/normal maps, for example? (maybe we always could, but never knew how? :7)

No offense, that's a good question... These cubemaps are really ugly when you're too close to them :? Even more when you don't know how to set them up

:) Thank you !
Actually, it's quite hard to work on something with a scale error, and on which you're not sure you'll ever manage to get the feeling of the original game...
I have to be honest, I prefer working on full new Ages, in which I can add anything I want to add, and don't need to bother about a stupid scale error - if that's the case, I can just remodel the area to my needs.

Plus it lets you put any kind of game mechanism in it: for instance, Relativity's gravity planes... Want to add something fun ? Well, invent a flying ship on a magnetic track, powered by crystals, like Spire... the only limit is Plasma.

That's why I'm working quite slowly on this one...

I've yet to totally grok the bump map support in Plasma. Whatever it is seems to match up with common DirectX 8 techniques... I think.

I wouldn't say Plasma is limiting--I would say our tools are. ;)
