Zephyr_Cove Age fixed & explored thoroughly :)

Postby Annabelle » Sun Mar 10, 2013 9:31 pm

Hello,

Following Sirius' easy explanations, I decided to fixed the 3rd age that was on my "To Be Fixed" ages.

Odema - Fixed by Sirius - He published it on this post: http://forum.guildofwriters.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6048

Eder Licinius - Fixed by Sirius - (see same post as above)

Zephyr_Cove - Fixed by Annabelle 8-)

I followed Sirius' method which is quite easy breezy and the result is quite amazing!

For the very first time, I could spend more than 1 min inside that age without crashing. In fact, I don't crash at all with the simple fix I made :D

I began my exploration and found on the beach a nice little book telling us, explorers, that this age has more to offer than the beach itself. I was really intrigued.

Here are 2 pictures taken on the beach side of the age:

All what follows is a first for me :)...

I began my thorough researches and quickly found an opening in the mountain. I was in this strange place that looks like the interior of a pyramid

Then, I opened a door and found myself inside a magnificent cave all green then, further on, it became all purple then, even further, it became all orange (just like inside Eocene Age (made by Andy Legate BTW). Do not fall into the lava stream, unlike Eocene, there's no mercy for the fool-minded explorers (I tested it only for your own safety  )

I finally found a remote area after the cave which is really amazing: a grand hall where mushrooms are growing. I didn't touch them as I don't know if they are poisonous even only by touching them. Here's a picture:

After my "testing" of the lava stream security... I used the flymode to get on top of the mountain and I took this nice picture showing you the areas inside the mountain:

I hope you will enjoy this age and explorer it well. There are few journals to read here and there also. This is how I learned about the area inside the mountain, I wouldn't have thought there was something otherwise.

I'm really glad that finally we can enjoy this age because I remember 2 years ago approximately, I asked on this forum Andy Legate to fix it and the answer was negative. I took only 5 secs and I fixed it finally  .

You will find the first zip file on this post, and the 2nd one on the post coming next. I had to split them because of the overall weight. Do like Sirius instructed in his post with the sum file (see above link)

Enjoy!

I didn't either, and Eder Licinius was fine too.
Still, it's good to know it works for some people !

Don't forget to get a closer look at those crystals too...

This and the beach sky... Now you know why this is one of my favorite Ages ! ;)

That's funny, BTW, it's been a long time since I played any Fan-Age, and yet I was yesterday in Zephyr Cove, to wander about... And I noticed the swimnregion was broken too (see the other thread) .

Just explored Zephyr_Cove a bit again ... Wow, wonderful music and age ... I explored Zephyr_Cove by night ... :P

The swimming regions are indeed broken ... you can swim, when you start at the end from the credits and maintainer's sign, but
around that small tent or booth you'll just keep falling and have to stop with Esc resp. Fly mode to get back on your 'feet' lol ... :D

Then I installed Zephyr_Coce by day, and that is really buggy and crashes almost immediately ... First time I linked in it worked
until I tried to swim, which is not possible and I crashed out completely ... Then I couldn't link in anymore without crashing ... :geek:

Wait a sec...

I don't remember having wander there by night until last evening

Maybe this explain that... as people seems to wonder what I'm talking about when I say Zephyr Cove is bugged ;)

Maybe I "fixed" an already fixed age... oh well! At least I tried. Want to fix your leeking sink? Call me but make sure to buy & install a brand new one prior to my visit to "fix" it ;)

Hehe, cool ... :D

I just tried to fix Zephyr_Cove daytime the way Sirius described it in the other thread, means I've
opened the prps in PrpShop and just saved them again ... I've updated the checksum, it was telling
me 6 were updated, but when I ran halfway through the age I crashed again ... but at least we have
the beautiful nighttime version ... :P

@Annabelle: Since it seems you mostly tested the daytime version so far ;-) - Is the night-time version available on DI working for you, or does it need fixing?

I assume to fix the swim region bug, someone would finally have to tackle the physics flags issue in HSPlasma... https://github.com/H-uru/libhsplasma/issues/10
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

I'll have to test the Night version later this evening on DI.
