Analyzing D'ni (part 2)

Few more questions for you all:

1) Anna spoke to Atrus of a level higher then ideas (ex. labels < description < ideas < Higher Concept). This "Higher concept" she showed him concerned wind and air patterns. In such, it made me ask. Is this higher power related to divine existence? It is more then just existence, but that was the closest I could get to it without speaking in D'ni.

2) Gehn Speaks... of two things

First off, the fact that no one other than those of D'ni blood could Write. Does this apply to us as well? In that case... how did Anna Write the age of Myst? How could Catherine Write the Fissure into Riven (Age 5)? Is he wrong, or does SOME relation have to exist to Write? (Ex. Cathering -> Gehn's Writing, Ti'ana -> Husband of D'ni)

Secondly, you CANNOT Link into the same Age you are in. This can be contradicted in a few ways. In "To D'ni" you Calibrate your KI and jump into the icon at the end of Tokotah Alley. You then appear in Descent. You have just linked to a spot in the SAME AGE you are now in >_>. Also, in Uru Live, you go from the Cleft to K'veer... which (may I remind you) is a small island inside D'ni... merely a mile below the surface.

Am I wrong somewhere?

3) Bringing Materials through Ages. Ah, what an odd concept to touch on. How was it done? Did D'ni people actually hold onto materials when they linked? Or is there a... larger... form of Linking we have yet to see? It would explain a lot, really, but I don't know.

4) 14617 Old Caverns Highway, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, USA

Google maps says this is the DRC Headquarters. In reality (please) what function does this building perform? I just wonder...

5) Last one... Paper and Ink

Gehn says the GUILDS held the formula for making Paper and Ink to write Descriptive Books/Linking Books. What IS that formula? Has Cyan revealed it, and do we have it now?

2A- Gehn was wrong. He had a very thin grasp of the Art, and then a twisted one. I wouldn't use him as reference.
2B- It is not easy to link in the same Age. The D'Ni had to use the Nexus for this, Yeesha later came up with new ways because she pushed the Art to its limits (see Yeesha's journals in Myst V).
3- They held on to it. Don't ask for a precise reference though.
5- No.

Has Cyan revealed it? No - but then again, IC Cyan is just a game company that has nothing to do with the art.

Do we have it now? Perhaps we do... I'd like to thing that IC the work we can do atm is a result from explorers researching the old bookmakers places and inkmakers places....

Gehn was incorrect, people of non D'ni blood could Write, it was just his pureblood nonsense talking.
The D'ni rules state that you cannot link into the same Age you are already in, this is a self imposed rule of D'ni origin. We know it isn't an absolute as the Bahro's take on the Art and Yeesha's break those D'ni rules.

Linking takes a 1 Step Principle, in which if a person took a step forward, everything that would go with him would also link with him (this explains how the fireflies in Kemo link with you). D'ni used large animials to link items back, it is true that they expanded the linking rules slightly for some Ages (like the food ones, I believe this is mentioned in one of the novels).

None, the number is actually the number of Cyan's address, the rest is an address in New Mexico. It is just a fabrication to make things more believable.

Yes there was specific ink and paper formats used, what this was remains a secret.
