Ahra Pahts weekly update #10 Version 1 slightly delayed

Because of some problems I have with the sounds in the Age, and because I lacked time these last days to work on it, AP version 1 will be pushed back a bit. At least a week (most likely two).
The PyPRP guys are had at work on a new version of the plugin that should enable me to use sounds as I want; right now I have err.. 'difficulties' using more than one sound at the same time in the Age.. (Also this new PyPRP version will include some nice features that I totally want to use. ).
I really worked as much as I could on it these last days but I just wasn't able to get it ready for today as I had hoped.
Hopefully it'll be for the best.

Oh rats, more delays. Ah well, it's better to have a great Age at a later date than an okay one sooner, I think.

Shiny things strike again.

Not that I am complaining the ground floor of my shell is finally done, and the second floor is half finished. It all exported pretty as you please to a Prp file.

...........Little Hitch, Uru doesn't load with it installed.

It gets just past selecting the avatar and stops responding. So currently I am digging through the troubleshooting threads to see where I went wrong.

Remove all of the files related to Pahts, check if Uru runs.
Check all of the Python .pak files and slowly walk backwards closer to a "clean" install until Uru works.

What you're describing sounds like either a sum error, a prp error in a global file, a prp error in Relto (Personal), or a Python error.
(Interestingly, those are about all of the errors that you'll ever see, so it doesn't really narrow it down )

Good new and some better news.

After a Ten minute wait Uru finally loaded and my shell was more or less there.

Had some fun wandering around through the walls of my Shell checking out the layout. (Left the collisions off on purpose for this) A couple of doors were to narrow but otherwise it all seemed right. After widening the doors I wrapped the whole thing up and tossed it at Andylegate since he offered to help me past my little problem not being able to get the UV's to work right. So hopefully I'll be able to call step on on the Shell a done deal before to much longer.

P.S. I tried editing the book of earth to do that but the Sun kept popping in and out of existence. Seems it's stuck on 24hrs and is perfectly capable of skipping a hour here or there to keep to it's schedule. Something to do with quantum states and anyone over the age of two being smart enough to not stare at it for extended periods.

Is that the loading time you get for Ahra Pahts?

No that is the load time for Uru:CC, it has something to do with the on board disc authentication protocols, Loading up my shell took no longer then a normal link time. This is proof positive that I probably need to upgrade my dvd/cd combo drive to something slightly newer.

Well I'm running a slightly older version of Ahra (no shells but with Prin Pahts) and yes, the Age takes a very long time to load.
