EDIT: I've sent you the Texture Cache folder in a seperate email.... together with the PaahkwehNew.pak file too .... do you need anything else?
when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

That should do it - thanks, Bob!

Okay, I think I have the plugin installed (that there were no installation instructions was poor planning, something that needs to be fixed ASAP). Unfortunately, I can't export anything or use the wizard to "fix" my now-broken age because I'm missing a thing called "yaml" or maybe "yam1". I re-installed Blender so I may have tossed it inadvertently, but I can't find a "yam" anything either in the old Almys version or the GoW version.

So now what?

Whil, take a look here.

The Alcugs wiki has 2 similar pages for downloading and installing PyPRP. One mentions yaml and the other does not. These pages should probably be combined.

Excellent! Moving onto the new batch of issues!

Some of these I've always dealt with in the old plug-in, and there's a new doozie.

1. I now link in sideways and at, what I think, is the cursor position in Blender. How do we do spawn points now? (I also noticed textures are now double-sided, so it may be that things are now so intuitive I have no idea where to find them!)

2. I have a few large planes in the age which use alpha channels (overlays of mosaics, etc.) before and now these never got lit no matter how carefully I set the logic properties. Is there a new way lights work in this new version (automatically?) and can I get these textures lit right?

3: My steps in the age look like normal steps, but they aren't able to be walked upon (slightly embarrassing running at a 5-inch rise and going nowhere). Does anyone know what is the "regulation step height"?

Whilyam,
1) lights are automatically associated now. (well, it's a bit more complex but that's beyond the scope of this answer)

2) I don't know about blender, but in real life "regulation" step height is about 1/3rd to 1/2 of a foot
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

Spawnpoint: Whilyam, as far as I know, putting one in is still the same as before. If you're linking in strangely, try deleting the spawn point, an putting a new one in. When you do, make sure you have your Age orientated using either Top, Side or Front view (I suggest Top), never User.
When the new spawn point is added, the Z axis (blue arrow) should be pointing straight up. Use the R key for rotation and rotate the spawn point to how you want your Avie to face when linking in, keeping in mind that the green arrow (Y axis) should face directly AWAY from what you want the avie to see when linking in.

I'd suggest that you have an invisible collider that works as a ramp, and have that sitting above the steps.
Or through them to reduce the physical step height invisibly to the player.

Not to be dense (though, why hide it :P) but how do I make an invisible collider?
