Why? rar is pretty much standard these days.

Justin, I'm going to be releasing a new version either today or tomorrow anyway, so you might as well just wait till its uploaded to the ULM. I wanted to wait till the contest was over with before influencing the judges by releasing a newer version.

Why should we use an inferior format? There are plenty of free rar programs out there.

Bimevi should simply unpack into the Uru CC directory.

I like WinRAR as it opens up like a window you can explore files with.

Many of the FPS games use .rar formats, only the rename the file extensions: .pk3 or .iwd. With .iwd you can just associate the file with WinRAR and it will open right up.

I use zip files 'cause I'm lazy. Just right click in the window and make a zip file. But I agree with others here, .rar is a better and more reliable format than .zip. I've seen too many corrupted .zip files.

7Zip extraxts rar, but I just use winrar anyways

Zip isn't an inferior format, and in one case I came across, it was a very much needed feature for rar archives

Oh well... maybe I will get winrar, it just seems unnecesary, as my memory is getting really low...
Anyway, congratulations to all the winners, all those ages are amazing :D

For the convenience of the end user, maybe we could all agree on keeping the URU install directory structure, when distributing our ages, to make the installation procedure a single consistent drag'n'drop?

Oh, and great entries, everyone involved! :)

Not sure if I remember this correctly, but aren't some of the folders named differently in localized versions?

Never heard of this. Do we have any German, or French, or other anglophobic members ;) who can confirm/refute?
