Ooh, another reason is that you can't quite explore the terrain from within Hexisle; you can only stand on the hexagons. In the converted version, you can run all over the landscape!

Ah, now that sounds more like a reason. (You can see that I'm not familiar with the game :).)

I would vote "No, but I would get it if I could get it for 15-20€ in Europe (and without having a credit card)"
Maybe I should check eBay :D

EDIT: Couldn't find it at ebay.de or ebay.com... so I select "No, but I've been trying to get it" [and maybe still will] ;-)

Found it on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002L0IRHU/ref=dp_olp_new?condition=new. I would for sure order it if I knew Drizzle could import it, at the moment, I'm not sure I would like it (and running kinda low on money).

I would get it only if I could replace Osmo with a Bahro avatar.

But converting it with Drizzle... now that's a different story.

Of course, there's no option in the poll for "Would've liked to get it, but wasn't available outside the US." Go figure. Don't think that's changed!

It's not available in the US anymore either :\

That would be the "No, but I've been trying to get it" option. I don't live in the US either, but I managed to get it by watching eBay for a long time. As Paradox says, Fanista is out of business, and they were the exclusive distributor, so a person needs to find a used copy on eBay or Amazon or some such place. It isn't easy, but then, it isn't easy for anyone.

There are still those two on Amazon.com, for anyone who has a friend in the US who could buy it and ship it to them. After those two are gone, it may become very, very hard to find a copy.

Well, there's no legal way to get it anymore, which means "open season" to me.

eBay's pretty legal... I got my copy just a few weeks ago from there. I just bought it--new and unopened at that--no bidding required for my particular copy.

Note: the following is directed at the thread in general and not directed solely at one person, even though I quote Chacal in the opening.

Who says if you can't get your hands on something anymore you can distribute pirate copies. Isn't there such a thing as "Sorry, tough-luck."? Or limited edition? For instance, I wasn't in Prologue or Churu, but I don't feel entitled to them, why should I? I missed the boat, end of story. :P Maybe when I'm not so tired I'll think more favorably of discussions about illegally distributing yet another Cyan game.

Why doesn't someone send Cyan an email about becoming a Hexisle distributor if they think the conduct of piracy in this case is justified? If there are truly people out there who still want Hexisle, for whatever reason, Cyan can get it re-published and start making some more much-needed money.
