No time for a real post, but I've been visiting Kyoto for the last 3 days and I have taken dozens of texture shots, along with pictures of japanese gardens.
I hope you like moss, I have gigabytes of it. Several varieties.
Here's a couple of sample pictures, does this remind you of anything?

Your photos never fail to be beautiful.
For instance, in this pair, the stepping stones (or stepping drums) in the water: Wonderful reflection of the web of limbs above as the stones 'move' toward the viewer, growing larger and larger, until one says, Here am i.

Its hunger unsatisfied
A stepping stone

You don't quite clarify whether the abyss is the stepping stone, of whether the stepping stone is over the abyss...
That's one dangerous stepping stone o.o

Ah yes, here the kireji, or break, would be after the second verse.
Here's a clearer version using a dash, since English has no kireji words:

An abyss waiting
Its hunger unsatisfied -
A stepping stone

I'm stuck at Kansai airport because of mechanical problems on the plane.
Fortunately, the VIP lounge is quite comfy and has free Internet access.
Also the flight is overbooked so I've been bumped into first class. So for this 10-hour flight I get pampered and I have a seat that turns into a bed!

Yes, except I'm blurrier than it is.

My flight was canceled so Air Canada booked me in a deluxe twin room in the Nikko Kansai Airport Hotel.
The bathroom alone is bigger than the hotel room I had in Kyoto the last two weeks.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go swim some laps in the bathtub.
