And Mysterium people...we need one in the South sometime, seriously. :)

Oh man, Atlanta would be perfect. I can go to Atlanta any old weekend :P

Even Orlando/Destin/something in Florida would be feasible, although kinda...weather-situation-prone :P

Same here, though my route to Orlando/Destin/Panama City is probably a bit easier than yours :P

NOT Panama City. That's one dirty town. Really.

Uhm, anyway. Was there a topic here? :D

I just left Mysterium a couple hours ago. The presentation went well; lots of people were crammed into Eleri's hotel room! Moiety Jean was kind enough to take a movie of it. The camera I gave her was very temperamental - it kept shutting down after 5 minutes - but she perservered. Once I can get to a machine that can read the SD card, I'll assemble the pieces into a whole and post it.

What a pleasure it was to see everyone for real! I was sorry to leave so soon, but I was just passing through Boston on the way to spend a weekend in NH with my dad, so I couldn't stay long. It was definitely worth the 10-hour drive.

Sounds like it was a great event. Too bad it's not something you "just" attend from Europe.

Btw how many European writers do we have? What about organizing a writers conference in Europe somewhere. Depending on the country and time of year airplane fares within Europe could be good. Driving could be done more easily too for some.

Any ideas? For instance a small RAD before the event so everyone can present his or her work? Demonstrations of new features or creative use of known ones? A video conference presentation by Nadnerb, Paradox of Tsar Hoikas on 1.6 ;) ;)

Edit P.s. off course people from outside Europe are welcome too :D

Another idea.... as soon as MO:RE is up and we can run our own Writers servers, I suggest a monthly meeting online. Visiting ages in progress together, discussing the use of features, textures, puzzles, etc.

Oh and wouldn't it be great if we could add our developers journals to the Guild of Writers pub in public MO:RE? A big stack of work in progress, building frustrations, images, etc ;)

Marcello, there is the German RealLife Community Gathering during August 8-10 - see this thread below at MystOnline.com:

There was also the DutchMystCommunity event in late June. I'm not sure whether these events are for all Europeans, though.

Okay missed info about both of them. I have been to one Dutch gathering once which was when I finally met Indy after many years. I was more thinking of a real writers meeting. Like with workshops and stuff.
