Fly mode in Age Building

Post by Kierra »

Here's a topic I haven't seen being discussed yet:

Does anyone use fly-mode in their Uru:CC game to better test their Ages?

The idea has been floating around in the back of my mind to try it, but I thought I'd better ask other Age Builders first :)

I think it would be very useful, but I haven't heard if anyone else is already using it.

Thoughts?

I certainly do. It's great for getting good shots of your ages, and it helps immensely in cases where flaws in the geometry might prevent you from getting out of certain spots... (in the last version of Ahra Pahts, one often randomly fell through floors. As such, it was quite impractical to explore it without flymode. :P)

Much like the UAM hack for journals, it's difficult to find and implement if you're just getting into Age Building.. I remember trying to find an actual link or documentation on it and coming up completely empty.

I still have mine from way back when. When I reinstalled URU CC I forgot that I'd saved it in my python.pak file. Not sure if they are compatible with others installs, but I have it if anyone wants it. I may even have the other stuff aswell. I'd have to search things.

Edit: I just checked and I have a flymode patcher 1.3

Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).

Same here. Don't know what I'd do without it.

If you're looking to find it, try this site:

That's where I found it, when I searched last week.

Flymode was the greatest invention since sliced bread. I think I've spent more time in flymode than playing the game. Especially useful as a "maintainer suit" when trying fan-created Ages, which are often buggy, or for taking shortcuts (you don't really expect me to WALK Ahra Pahts, do you?).
