MOUL site change

Post by J'Kla »

The previously crazed and non functioning buttons at the top of the MOUL site appear to be working again. :)

We also have the promised update about the OS project, but still no timeline of any kind; so we're still stuck with a 'whenever' ETA which is a bit frustrating to say the least.

[edit]
Burried in the new 'Play' page on the site is this little piece of info:
It is hard to tell when this will happen but the target is to have places to visit and explore by this spring (2009).

Spring? Ouch, that's at least another three months to wait. :( Ha well, it's better than nothing obviously, but the wait will be long...

I guess we'll have to keep ourselves busy until then.. :p

Wow. That's sooner than I'd expected. I was thinking summer at best. Glad to see things are moving along.

Come on who actually believes Cyan can predict and hit a given release date with any degree of accuracy given past form. :D

At least they've clarified just what's going to be released. ALL server code, client and the plugin. And probably a few 3DSmax Models and textures under a different license. My guess being the avatars, KI and Nexus models.

Bummer for the data files, though. I hope we can still mod them.

I hope the 3dsMax BitTorrenters are ready for half of the Myst community grabbing illegal copies of 3dsMax. :P
