Python Files/UAMVars Problem

Post by Nobby »

Hi everyone

I've got a new problem, now with the UAMVars. I'm using the 2012 version of Max and I would like to create a linking book. But if I attach the 'Python File' to my dummy, I can't find the UAMVars file(s) in the Component Util, only files which looks like the standart Cyan's Python Files and start with a 'x'. I really don't know what the problem is, I'm sure I copied the python files from the UAM wiki to the right folder. I tried the same with MAX 7 and I found the right files, so I think it could be a problem with the plugin or I just did anything wrong.
Can anyone help me?

Greetings Nobby

What are you ultimately trying to achieve? I know of hardly any reason to use the UAMVars scripts.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Have a look for D'Lanors linking book template, it also works for 3ds Max (Andy uses it in some of his ages, for example). A quick forum search turned up this link:
