Writers at Mysterium 2008?

Anything that isn't directly related to Age Creation but that might be interesting to Age developers.

Hmmm.... Is he talking about this GoW and that GoMa or Cyan's GoW and GoMa? Somebody here keeping sneaky little secrets? o.O

Either way, I like his use of present tense. :)

What are they working out with whom at GoW?
Cyan couldn't possibly be having secret conversations with anyone at GoW, we made that clear months ago.

Robert The Rebuilder wrote:Given the current hush-hush climate of age creation over at MO:UL, I was wondering whether it was OK to have such a demonstration at Mysterium. So, I composed the following message to the Cyan legal team:
To the legal team at Cyan Worlds:

Members of the Mysterium 2008 committee have requested a demonstration on age creation by members of the Guild of Writers. Before we commit to this, we would like to coordinate with you first.

Specifically, the planned presentation will have two parts:

- Creating a new age: within Blender, creating terrain, spawn point, collision, lights, fauna; exporting the age with the PyPRP plugin; using ULM to add the age to the player's Relto in Uru: Complete Chronicles; running Uru:CC and walking through the new age.

- Fan-Created Age Review: selecting some of the best ages available via ULM, and visiting each one in Uru:CC.

Please let us know whether such a presentation is acceptable.

Mark "Chogon" DeForest gave us the go-ahead:

What you have planned sounds great! and should tie in nicely with what we are working out with GoW and GoMa.

Thanks,
Mark DeForest

Though i'd probably need Nadnerb standing over me telling me i'm doing the scripting all wrong

A thought did cross my mind though, what happens when people start asking about the upcoming and/or last RAD contest?

Hmm, I didn't read that "with" as actually including anybody -- more "with regard to...".

Still it implies an active project by Cyan involving the Guilds.

It turns out that I will be able to make it to part of Mysterium, at least Friday night. I signed up for a half-hour presentation on age writing, either as a small presentation or a large one - depending on what best fits the Mysterium schedule.

GPNMilano and Pryftan: if you had signed up for Friday night as well, I can withdraw my registration. But if you signed up to present on Saturday or Sunday, that would be great - we can have multiple sessions so that latecomers won't miss out.

We have until this Saturday to finalize the plans, according to the Mysterium Presentation Request page.
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

Oh man I wish this was closer to me (Georgia, Florida would be good too). I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Mysterium but it's always in the North and I just can't make it. :/

Anyway, I REALLY hope someone gets some video of the Writer's presentation/the Age making thing, I would LOVE to see how it goes over with everyone.

After all that work, CAGreywolf won't see Mysterium 2008. :(
