Well strange issues anyway, suddenly I can't link into Decent or Toldemer anymore, but I'm good to go with everything else!
Tomorrow it will most likely be the other way around, ehehehehe.
Anyways, I got to exploring the sound emitters for Myst Island for Myst V. The reason I can't hear the ambient music is that it's triggered. The flags for it are not set to Autostart, so the sound doesn't play when you link in, it has to be triggered by something.
This is different from Tahgira and Laki where I have ambient background music playing just fine......that is as long as my avie is in the right areas. That tells me their amb music is being controlled by either regions or softvolumes. In Laki the music will start to play when you get to where you find your first symbol. If you move from there and travel over to , oh let's say one the canels, or back to the beach, the music fades out. Zip over to the Arena and the music will start again. Leave there and it fades out. Go back to the hidden beach, and different music will play for you.
Oh I miss my birds though......Ugly as sin, but I still liked chasing them around.
In Tahgira, the music will start as soon as you get over by the first bridge, and will play throughout the rest of the Age. Go back to the first cave, and it fades out again.
Ah, the thunder at Myst isn't happening though. All the other sounds are: rain, creaking, wind...but the door slamming sound and the thunder are not. The lighting animates (and great job on getting it to rain everywhere, not just that one spot!

)
Not sure why that's happening though, as the emitters look fine when I took a look at them. I have them as both wav and ogg files, but no joy.
Oh, and Laki is a bit picky. Sometimes I link in fine, sometimes it freezes upon link in (you can just start to see the Age when it does it), but I think that might be my computer, not the Age causing that.
However, the floor/ground colliders are missing from the Arena area. Fell right through when I ran over there. I was like ACK!
Having loads of fun doing this. Time to switch back over to MOUL files again.
