Let's see....

Tahgira's is: 88
Noloben (Sirahlen) is: 89

Toldemer is: 87 (works)
Laki is: 91 (works)
Myst (sad Myst) is: 90 (works)
Decent for Myst V is: 94 (works)
Direbo is: 93 (works)

I checked all my other Ages and none seem to have the same numbers (Uru Myst and Uru Decent have different numbers and file names of course), but I could try what you suggested, and also try removing all the other Fan Ages too.

Like I said, if it works for others, then it's most likely me doing something wrong.

Okay, I tried clearing out my folders of all Fan Ages, with the exception of my Nexus I use. Still got at CTD with those 2 Ages.

So I tried the New Avie approach, and linked into them both just fine this time.

So, it's not my Nexus I use, nor is it Bevin or Watchers Pub. But it's got to be another Uru file that they are conflicting with, so I'm off to look.......

Oh, and we were wrong about Noloben way back when we discussed how to get the same affect with the lights and clouds......flymode to that area gave me a VERY good education on how they achieved that. Nothing like a new perspective! :D

You didn't have the flymode for Myst V?

Nope, never thought about getting it for Myst V. However, converting the files does do one thing for me......I can put them in Blender now...hehehehe :D

Now I'm off to work on that CTD I get. Had to stop as I had to go wait in line for gas for my cars  , reminds me of my childhood, circa 1973......

Okay, I was able to link into Noloben after deleting my Uru Myst book..... :?

That made no sense at all since they have different sequnce numbers, but it worked.....strange.

Okay, I noticed that there was no sounds in the Myst V Ages, even though I had copied over the ogg files from Myst V.

However, I decided to experiment and I copied the wav files from the streaming cache in Myst V to the streaming cache for Uru. Linked into the Myst V Myst Age and hear the rain, wind, creaking wood, spooking ambience......

Did the same thing for Noloben, and when I linked in I could hear the birds.....

I tied doing it with the ambient music for Myst. I loaded the ogg file up and exported it as a wave file, but no joy. I didn't hear it.

Vault corruption anyone?

These Drizzle ages are kinda... whacky and unsafe. You'd think a maintainer would know better. :P ;)

I seriously doubt it was vault corruption. I've never had to reset my avatar, and I've been using it in the strangest ways. I'm able to link to Myst, Noloben, and back. It's more likely that you had previously used a pyprp Age someone had mischosen a sequence prefix for.

Well strange issues anyway, suddenly I can't link into Decent or Toldemer anymore, but I'm good to go with everything else!

Tomorrow it will most likely be the other way around, ehehehehe.

Anyways, I got to exploring the sound emitters for Myst Island for Myst V. The reason I can't hear the ambient music is that it's triggered. The flags for it are not set to Autostart, so the sound doesn't play when you link in, it has to be triggered by something.

This is different from Tahgira and Laki where I have ambient background music playing just fine......that is as long as my avie is in the right areas. That tells me their amb music is being controlled by either regions or softvolumes. In Laki the music will start to play when you get to where you find your first symbol. If you move from there and travel over to , oh let's say one the canels, or back to the beach, the music fades out. Zip over to the Arena and the music will start again. Leave there and it fades out. Go back to the hidden beach, and different music will play for you.
Oh I miss my birds though......Ugly as sin, but I still liked chasing them around.

In Tahgira, the music will start as soon as you get over by the first bridge, and will play throughout the rest of the Age. Go back to the first cave, and it fades out again.

Ah, the thunder at Myst isn't happening though. All the other sounds are: rain, creaking, wind...but the door slamming sound and the thunder are not. The lighting animates (and great job on getting it to rain everywhere, not just that one spot! :D )
Not sure why that's happening though, as the emitters look fine when I took a look at them. I have them as both wav and ogg files, but no joy.

Oh, and Laki is a bit picky. Sometimes I link in fine, sometimes it freezes upon link in (you can just start to see the Age when it does it), but I think that might be my computer, not the Age causing that.
However, the floor/ground colliders are missing from the Arena area. Fell right through when I ran over there. I was like ACK!

Having loads of fun doing this. Time to switch back over to MOUL files again.

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this:

With converting the MOUL ages the ages are now fully playable, ladders and regions all work. Minkata and the pods, both "puzzles" can be finished completely, and will link you to the LiveBahroCaves.

Just thought I'd mention it.

AndyLegate: Very informative; thanks! Most of those things are potentially fixable, except the pirahna bird. It uses a special "AI", not unlike the Quabs.

On a related note, I'm wondering if it's possible to have pyprp make a region that triggers some python code when entering. Is that possible?
