Hey, everybody. The name's Dr. Worm.

I've been a fan of Myst for about two years now. I remember the first time I ever saw anything Myst-related. I was probably 7 or 8 at the time. It was the box for Riven: The Sequel to Myst. The name "Riven" has been in my memory ever since. The picture of Tay on the box would catch my attention every time I would see it in Best Buy. It looked so mysterious, so otherworldly, and I always wanted to play that game, although it looked a little scary. Heh.

Then, about two years ago, I saw the Myst 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition box set in Best Buy. I had 20 bucks to blow, so I decided to find out what these Myst games were all about. I fell in love with the series.

I beat all five Myst games, but it wasn't until I read the novels that I truly fell in love with the story. And then I was able to get a copy of Uru: CC off of Amazon, and that took it all even further.

I have never been a part of Uru Live (though I got a free account on GameTap and checked into the restricted-access version of MOUL about a month before it went down, didn't get to do much), and I'm really looking forward to joining OSMO (screw it, I don't care if you think it's called MOOS or MOOSE, OSMO is awesome on multiple levels). I'm still not sure how much I want to attempt to be involved with the creative process here. I'm trying to decide whether I want to join a Guild, and the two that I'm looking into are the Writers and Maintainers.

I'm no good with modeling or programming, but one thing I can do pretty well is story. I love to write stories, and the Uru universe has so much to work with. So if it's storyline, journals, or anything else along those lines, I'll do what I can to help.

Shorah ^^

I live in Recklinghausen >Town / Nordrheinwestfalen (Ruhrgebiet) >Federal Land / Germany >Krauts
I'm 25 and worked with 3dsmax, Photoshop and several ther Programms for over 7 years, good at
modelling, average at Texturing and very poor at scripting.
"Oneironaut" means Lucid dreamer. Oneiro is the Ancient Greek word for dream. The word Oneironaut
is used in Science for the people who are aware of dreaming and can control it.
I hope my english would get better, Practise makes the Master.
Let's have fun and a good time at creating ages!

Shorah, needmoremyst here, which pretty much says why i'm here and what I was thinking when I joined gametap and MOUL for it's last 6 weeks. I probably bring little value to the Guild as i am not a programer by any means, but learning all i can without troubling others for there time. I am a full service fiber optic contractor so if this or other Guilds are interested in a fiber pipe at some point i may be of some value, willing to install at or even below cost to the point of free for labor and items i carry as standard stock. I can not provide bandwhith, only the path. I do have quite a bit of free time with todays economy so if i can help in any other way, you only need to ask. By the way *STANDING O* for all your efforts. I stand in awe at the talent and intellect of this community.
Umm... Hi

Oh hey....I found it!

My name is Chris, and I am currently typing in my accounting class. lol
I've been a huge Myst series fan for a long time. I just recently came back and saw Uru. After hearing about this guild, I decided to join because sometimes great ideas pop into my head.
I have an awesome idea for an Age. Point me to the place where I need to post some teasers, but don't expect art any time soon. I haven't drawn in such a long time that I've reverted to stick figures. :P
I'm going to attempt to learn blender and python and whatever else I need to create my Age.
I look forward to spending time with you guys. You look like a great group of people.

Hey all, Winna here, I first came to the Caverns during the mass beta, hung around the Guild of Greeters and made a nuisance of myself in the guild chat. Once it closed the first time, I fell out of touch with Mystdom for school. Hunting for studio jobs last week, I came across the old announcement Cyan was going to release source code (I dearly hope they come back out on top) and set about seeing what I've missed (too much!)

I'm finishing my last few months at a digital media school in Computer Animation with a focus on environmental art, so apart from straight up coding, I'm good for modeling, texturing, lighting, preproduction and concept art, story, and animation. I haven't used Blender before but I'm well versed in Maya 8 through 2k9, CS, Crazybump, and I'm currently relearning zBrush and Max. I've had experience with the Unreal 3 engine and game engine restrictions. I can mimic styles, harmonize differing ones, and main the stylistic integrity of ongoing projects. My PC's currently past expiration so all I have right now is my Mac - no in-game testing for me.

While I have an Age I'm currently doing prepro for between work on my demo reel, if anyone needs something here or there please let me know and I'll see if I can't get something done. Email or AIM's an assured way to reach me quickly.

Thanks, Whilyam. Welcome to you also, Chris!
Maybe some of them are just a wee bit shy on introductions. ^_^

That too, but I was mentioning that fact that we have 666 members now.
Not that I'm superstitious. By the way...how'd you get my name anyway?
